These are two things the Bricks & Mortar team have been puzzling over after a week of news stories informing us that a global Russian hacking offensive is under way, and our homes could be the target. We have an increasing number of devices that are susceptible to hackers. The average home these days has almost nine internet-connected devices; in the next 20 years that is likely to rise, says Mark Skilton, a digital expert and professor at Warwick Business School.
